From Night Watchman to Government Officer! The Inspiring Journey of Praveen Kumar

How much are you willing to sacrifice for your dreams? Imagine working all night as a watchman, staying awake while the world sleeps, and then spending the entire day preparing for competitive exams. No sleep, no social life, just relentless dedication.

For Praveen Kumar, this was not just a phase, it was his only way out of poverty. His hard work and resilience paid off in the most extraordinary way: he secured not just one, but TWO government jobs at the same time!

A Life of Struggles, A Mindset of Success

Born in Mancherial district, Telangana, 31-year-old Praveen Kumar knew the meaning of hardship from an early age. His father worked as a laborer, and his mother rolled beedis to support the family. Despite their financial struggles, Praveen’s parents never stopped him from pursuing his education.

“Education is not a privilege for the rich, it is a tool to break free from poverty.”

With a fierce determination to escape the cycle of poverty, Praveen pursued higher studies against all odds. He completed M.Com, B.Ed, and M.Ed degrees, proving that no financial challenge could stop him from reaching his goals.

But degrees alone wouldn’t secure his future. He needed a stable job, and for that, he had to clear India’s highly competitive government exams.

The Ultimate Sacrifice: Working at Night, Studying in the Day

Praveen didn’t have the luxury of preparing for exams full-time. His family needed financial support, and he had to find a way to survive while chasing his dreams. That’s when he took up a night watchman job at Osmania University in Hyderabad.

While others slept, he stood guard.
While others enjoyed leisure, he drowned himself in books.
While others gave up, he pushed harder.

The night shifts gave him the time he needed to study during the day, but it came at a heavy cost. He sacrificed sleep, comfort, and a normal life, all for the dream of securing a government job.

Victory Against All Odds: Two Government Jobs at Once!

His efforts finally bore fruit when he passed two major government exams at the same time, one for a Postgraduate Teacher position and another for a Junior Lecturer role.

For someone who was earning just ₹9,000 per month as a watchman, this was life-changing. With his new government job, his salary would now be between ₹73,000 – ₹83,000 per month! 🚀

But when given a choice, Praveen chose to become a Junior Lecturer, because teaching wasn’t just a job for him; it was a passion.

“I Never Expected to Pass Both Exams!”

In his own words:
“Working at Osmania University helped me. Since I worked at night, I had plenty of time to study during the day. I never imagined I would clear both exams, but I stayed focused on my goal. All I needed was a small room, books, and the will to succeed.”

Praveen’s journey is proof that financial struggles are not an excuse, they are a challenge to overcome. Instead of blaming his circumstances, he fought against them and changed his destiny.

His success is now a source of inspiration for thousands of students who believe that financial hardships limit their potential.

If Praveen Kumar could rise from a night watchman to a government officer, what’s stopping you from achieving your dreams?

Dream big. Work hard. Stay focused. The world belongs to those who refuse to give up!
